Stapled Booklets
Our stapled booklets are folded and saddled-stitched (stapled twice in the fold/gutter area). Color booklets are a very popular product for calendars, catalogs, magazines, memory books, or any application where you need a bound booklet but don't need spiral, comb, or perfect binding. Working on a budget? Select black and white printing for the interior pages and a full color cover to make the final product shine at a fraction of the cost of a full color booklet.
Booklets are typically laid out 2-up on an 11" x 17" or 8.5" x 11" sheet, double-sided, and arranged so that when collated together and folded/stapled, the result is a magazine-like booklet whose page sequence reflects the order of pages in the original PDF file. We currently offer booklet printing at no additional cost to the price of printing regular color copies for booklets of 28 pages or more.
When designing a booklet it is usually easiest to design each individual page instead of trying to do a 2-up layout. If your design requires you to setup a 2-up layout please contact us before designing to make sure that your page setup is correct. An incorrectly paginated file will result in order delays and more work to be done on your end. The only time you may need to setup your file already paginated is when you have a full bleed booklet with content that flows across multiple pages. Don't forget that booklet pages are printed in multiples of 4, so a 15 page file would need to be printed as a 16 page booklet.
Catalogs and Multi-Page Brochures
Stapled booklets are a perfect choice for catalogs and multi-page brochures. Whether it's a product catalog, hotel directory, or an event brochure, a stapled booklet is a clean and professional way of presenting information. Print the entire booklet or just the cover with a bleed to bring that extra wow factor to your booklet.
Stapled Calendars
Are you ready to make your own calendar? A stapled booklet calendar is the same type of calendar that you will find at any store. A calendar is generally a 28 page booklet, 24 interior pages and 4 pages for the front and back covers. A full bleed is recommended if you wish to have a calendar that best resembles a retail calendar. Make sure you select one-hole drilling when you place your order to have a hole drilled in the calendar for hanging.
Comic and Children's Books
Get ready to publish your very own comic book or children's book. Most comic books and children's books are printed in a stapled booklet format, with the exception of some graphic novels which are perfect bound(glue binding). If you are looking to print a custom size book other than 8.5x11 or 8.5x5.5 just select bleed pages on the order form and put the size that you want the book cut down to in the job notes. Keep in mind that the smallest we can cut the bound side down to on a stapled booklet is 7 inches.
