Presenting your company's latest news in high-resolution with bright, shining color makes a lasting impression on investors, clients, and anyone interested in your company.
As you design and prepare your newsletter for print, there are several things to consider.
Page number - how many pages will be in your newsletter?
If the page number is 4 or less...
...Then you will want to place your order under the color copy order form. In most cases, you should lay out your file as four 8.5" x 11" pages. To get the correct amount when pricing your job on our automated order forms, make sure to enter the number of pages as 2 and select 11" x 17" for the finished page size. Then choose a half fold under "Finishing Options." Our designers will lay out your four pages 2-up on both sides of an 11" x 17".
Your file will be set up and printed so that, when reading it like a book or magazine, the front will be page 1, the center spread will contain pages 2 and 3, and the back side will be page 4. The newsletter will be 8.5" x 11" closed, or 11" x 17" with the center fold open.
If more than 4 pages...
...Most likely you will want to place your order as a stapled booklet. These are laid out just like the 4-page newsletter, but on multiple sheets which are sequenced according to your file, stacked, stapled, and trimmed to smooth the edge. Because of this, the page numbers for stapled booklets go up in increments of four (2-up on both sides of an 11" x 17" = 4 pages).
Design your files as single 8.5" x 11" pages (not as book spreads). We will arrange them in such a way so that when you are holding your finished booklet, the pages are in the same order as they were in your file.
Note: We can do specialized sizes. Irregularly sized newsletters should have their dimensions specified in the Job Notes and may incur additional cutting or finishing charges. To get an exact quote on a job which cannot be specified on the automated order forms, please e-mail info@docucopies.com.
